Michigan vs. The Boys Review

This book was not what I expected; it was even better. I loved how strong Michigan was and how much she loved hockey. I didn't know much about hockey before reading Michigan vs. The Boys, but now I would like to learn more. What I also appreciated about this book was Michigan's  familial relationships. We see how the members of Michigan's family feel about her love for hockey and the ways that they support her.

Throughout this book we also see Michigan's other relationships and how they affect her decisions. In addition, Michigan was willing to push herself and try harder than she did on the girls team. This was truly inspirational. I would recommend this book based on this alone. The book was also blurbed by Cassie Campbell-Pascall who was the captain of two separate Canadian hockey teams. Both of these teams won gold medals. That is super cool.

My Rating

To conclude, this book was a great read. It was inspirational, featured great characters, and was comedic. I gave it 5 out of 5 stars on Goodreads and I would highly recommend reading it. It is also what I would consider a quick read. Overall, I hope you read this book and enjoy it as much as I have!
